Kamrani (Kadjar)

Ancestor: Kamran Mirza, Nayeb Saltaneh, son of Nasser-ed-Din Shah Qajar (Kadjar).

Shahzadeh Kamran Mirza, Nayeb Saltaneh (1867), Amir Kabir (1870), was born in Tehran, 22nd July 1856, son of Monir os-Saltaneh, daughter of Mohammad Taqi Khan, Chief Architect of Tehran, under Nasser-ed-Din Shah. On account of the non-Qajar origin of his mother, like his other famous brother Zell-e-Soltan, Kamran Mirza was not eligible for succession to the throne, though he was his father's favorite son and bore an uncanny resemblance to Nasser-ed-Din Shah. He was educated by private tutors and at the Imperial Military College in Tehran and was given the rank of Field Marshall, "Amir Kabir," by his father. He was Governor of Tehran from 1862 to 1873, Minister for War from 1869 to 1873, 1884, 1896 and 1906-1908 and Governor-General of Khorasan from 1916 to 1917.

He received the Order of the Royal Portrait (Temssaal-e Homayouni) from his father and the Grand Cross Order from Leopold of Austria (1880). He married several wives including a daughter of Shahzadeh Soltan Morad Mirza, Hesham os-Saltaneh, Conqueror of Herat. He died in 1927, having had issue ten sons and nine daughters, including:

a) Soltan Malek Mirza, "Zell e-Soltan" "Amir-e-Akram," Governor of Ton and Tabass 1917, and of Torshiz 1917-1918. Married in 1908, Jalal ed-Dowleh.

b) Shahzadeh Fath 'Ali Mirza, "Firouz ed-Dowleh," Chief of Staff at Khorasan 1916-1917.

c) Shahzadeh Major-General .... Mirza, "Eghtedar os-Saltaneh." C-in-C at Khorasan 1916-1917.

i) Shahzadeh ..... Mirza, "E'tezaad Khaaghaan." E'tezad Khaghan had two children: Seyfedin Mirza Kamrani, and Fakhr-e Aghdas Khanom Kamrani.

-- Seyfedin Mirza married Parvindokht Mihan. They had one son, Fariborz Kamrani and two daughters, Maryam and Katayoun Kamrani. Fariborz Kamrani is married to Maryam Amini. They have a son, Aria Kamrani, and a daughter Liana Kamrani (born 2011). Maryam Kamrani is married to Mr. Khajavi-Nouri and has a son, Kourosh Khajavi-Nouri. Katayoun Kamrani is not married and has no offspring.

-- Princess Fakhr-e Aghdas has one daughter Maah Aafarin Safinia, whose children are Behrouz Behnam and Behzad Behnam.

j) Shahzadeh ..... Mirza,

a) Shahzadeh Khanom Malekeh Jahan, b. 1875, in 1893 married Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar (b. at Tabriz, 21st June 1872; d. at San Remo, Italy 5th April 1924), eldest son of Mozaffar ed-Din Shah. For her descendants see Qajar Succession.

b) Shahzadeh Khanom Qamar ol-Molk.

c) Shahzadeh Khanom Ma'ssoumeh Khanom, "Sorour ed-Dowleh." She married in 1894, as his third wife, Major-General H.H. Haji Mehdi Qoli Khan-e Qajar Qoyunlu, "Majd ed-Dowleh," (b. 1850; d. 1937), Ilkhani of the Royal clan, fourth son of Mirza Issa Khan Vali Qajar Qoyunlu, "Ehtesham ed-Dowleh," ancestor of the Amirsoleymani family.

d) Shahzadeh Khanom. She married in 1907, as his second wife, H.E. Mohammad Vali Khan, Asaf os-Saltaneh, Saheb Jam (b. 1870), son of the Governor-General of Azerbaijan.

e) Shahzadeh Khanom. Married Mirza Mehdi Khan, "Sa'ad ol-Molk" (b. 1882), son of H.E. Mohammad Hassan Khan, Sa'ad ol-Molk.

f) Shahzadeh Khanom. Married Shahzadeh Abdol Hossein Mirza, "Azad os-Soltan," eighth son of Shahzadeh Mohammad Taqi Mirza, "Rokn ed-Dowleh." She had issue one son.

g) Shahzadeh Khanom. Married Aziz os-Soltan.

h) Shahzadeh Khanom "Fakhr-e Olia," "Nezhat Saltaneh," (Princess Zahra), married H.E. Sadreddin Amirghahari, "Showkat Nezam," Mirpanj, son of Bagher Amirghahari. They had six children:

Amir Kamran Amirghahari. Amir Kamran Amirghahari is the father of Zhazeh, Zhakfar, Zhianfar and Zharfa Amirghahari.

Shahin Amirghahari, married Rejai. She is the mother of Ramin, Hormoz and Roya Rejai.

i) Shahzadeh Khanom Monir A'zam ( m. Davaloo). Her son is Amir Hooshang Davaloo.
